Riley Childers is a Member Service Representative at The Family Credit Union in Davenport, Iowa. He has worked there for over a year, has been in the banking industry for three years. Riley attended Sauk Valley Community College to study mathematics. He prides himself in helping members understand and improve their credit, encouraging a “family helping family” atmosphere, and expanding the credit union’s community involvement.
Riley moved to the Quad Cities area in 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his loved ones, reading, writing, and celebrating his favorite holiday—National Hot Dog Day.

Abby Eaton is an Account Officer at Ascentra Credit Union. Since being hired in fall of 2017, Abby continues to set new professional and career goals. In her current position, she enjoys onboarding new membership and serving current members by “Listening, Caring, and Doing What’s Right”. (Ascentra’s Guiding Principle)
A native of Southern Illinois, Abby moved to the Quad Cities to live with her fiancée Sam. They have since purchased their first home and adopted two dogs. On weeknights, you can catch them all on the couch watching Netflix. For fun on the weekends, Abby organizes or attends live music events.
Sarah Geilenfeld is an Accounting Assistant at Citizens Community Credit Union. She graduated from Ashford University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2012. She started her career in the credit union industry in 2013 as a Loan Clerk. In 2015, she advanced to the Accounting Department.
Sarah and her husband, Kris, have 3 daughters that keep them busy with various extra-curricular activities. Outside of work and cheering on her children Sarah enjoys hiking, bonfires with friends/family, and bike riding on the many trails that Fort Dodge offers. When winter weather kicks in she enjoys lazy Sundays watching football and always rooting against her husband’s team (Detroit Lions). GO PACK GO!
Myranda Karnowski is a Branch Manager at Greater Iowa Credit Union in Ames. She graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Event Management. She has been working at credit unions for the last five years and has loved every second of her CU journey.
Myranda grew up in Altoona and has recently settled there with her own family as well. She has two boys who are 4 and 5 years old, and they keep her very busy! In their free time, they enjoy hanging out in the outdoors, building endless amounts of train tracks, and spending some quality time with family.
Brittany McLain is an Assistant Branch Manager at Collins Community Credit Union. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2016 with a degree in Elementary Education. As she finished her degree, she realized teaching was not her “forever career”. After much thought and support from her family, she started as a Member Service Consultant in 2017, opening the door for her career to grow both personally and professionally. Brittany has many different roles under her assistant branch manager title, and one of her favorites is educating their young members about how money, loans, credit, and debt work.
When Brittany is not wedding planning or decorating their new home, she and her fiancé Joel are very active. They enjoy traveling the country, especially to Seattle to visit their best friends, watching football, drinking wine on the deck, and biking on the trails in Des Moines.
Courtney Monohon is a Loan Services Specialist at Community 1st Credit Union in Ottumwa, IA. Some of her main roles at C1st are receiving and releasing titles, insurance claims, GAP claims and cancellations. She is an Ambassador at C1st and helps to put together the monthly newsletters and plan the annual Columbus Day volunteer event. She has been with C1st for 4 years and could not be happier. She loves living the “people helping people” life!
Courtney absolutely loves meeting new people and making new friends wherever she goes. She loves being outdoors at her son Landon’s football and baseball games, and she loves being a dance mom at her daughter Brynlee’s dance competitions. She loves just being silly with her littlest daughter Skylar, and she loves doing it all with her husband Preston. She volunteers at the Heartland Humane Society, and she volunteers at the Annual Kidney Walk for her boss, Jami.
Emily Ott is the CEO/President at Family Community Credit Union. She started her career at FCCU in June 2014 as a part-time teller and later became the lead teller, backup accountant, and loan officer for FCCU. In March of 2020, Emily became CEO/President of Family Community Credit Union. She graduated with her AA in Business Administration, and later with her BA in Accounting from AIB College of Business. Emily is very passionate about the credit union’s philosophy of “people helping people” and is excited for this opportunity to be a Crasher.
Emily has been married to her husband, Brennen, for four years. Together they have two sons, Wyatt (9) and Owen (2), as well as two fur babies; a beagle, Ernie, and a chocolate lab, Comet. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, fishing, crafting, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Christina Rauch is a Member Service Representative at Town & Country Credit Union in Avoca, Iowa. She is new to the credit union industry and has now been in the financial business for one year. She enjoys the credit union’s dedication to serving its members and their involvement in the community.
Christina lives in Avoca with her significant other, Scott, and their two boys, Braden and Cael. They are very involved in the outdoors and love to fish and hunt. They also raise show hogs for County and State Fair. Christina enjoys spending time with all the animals on the farm, and the kittens are her favorite. You will find her cheering on her Kansas City Chiefs during football season!
Riley Rausch is a Financial Analyst at Dupaco Community Credit Union. As a Financial Analyst, Riley is the “eyes and ears” of daily financial matters for the Controller, Data Analyst, and Chief Financial Officer. He assists with the financial oversight of the credit union. Riley is a 2016 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa where he studied Finance and Organizational Leadership. After college, Riley worked as a Financial Analyst at a local gas and oil company before joining Dupaco Community Credit Union in 2019.
Currently, Riley resides in Cascade, Iowa with his fiancée, Hailey, and dog, Wrigley. Riley is active in his community. He serves on the Cascade City Council and Cascade Heart and Soul leadership team, and engages with various other committees and organizations. In his free time, Riley enjoys gardening, golfing, and playing with his dog!
Hannah Spangler is the Business Administrator for First Class Community Credit Union. She offers support to the management team, processes loans and manages social media. Hannah got her start in the financial services industry at 16 through an apprenticeship program with a bank. She made the switch to First Class Community Credit Union in 2017, and has been enjoying the credit union cooperative spirit ever since.
Outside of work, Hannah enjoys traveling, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, and attending concerts. Hannah is originally from Wisconsin and enjoys visiting friends and family there whenever possible.
Nathaniel Wilson is an Accounting Specialist at Premier Credit Union. Nathaniel started at Premier in 2018 as a Member Service Representative after working almost 10 years in the hospitality industry. After a year of being an MSR, he then moved to his current position in the accounting department. Nathaniel has enjoyed his time with Premier and looks forward to the future with the credit union.
Nathaniel is originally from Clinton, Iowa but moved to Des Moines in 2017 with his girlfriend Meaghann and their cat, Boss. He likes to spend his free time playing frisbee, watching the NBA, and hanging out with friends and family.
Mentor: Miriah Johnson
Miriah Johnson is the Human Resource Assistant at Citizens Community Credit Union. She offers support to the Human Resource Department doing employee maintenance, payroll, benefits, recruiting and onboarding new employees. Miriah started her career with Citizens in 2008 as a Branch Member Service Representative. While she is new to her role in the HR Department, she is grateful for the continued support and learning opportunities that Citizens has offered her.
Miriah and her husband, Jerrad, have two children who keep them very busy. They are actively involved in traveling baseball and competitive dance. When they are not traveling for sports, they enjoy camping and spending time with their family.
Mentor: Haley Resewehr
Haley Resewehr is a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Ascentra Credit Union. She graduated from St. Ambrose University with her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Management in 2014. She started out at Ascentra as the Human Resources Intern while finishing her last year of college, before accepting a full-time position with Ascentra. She enjoys getting to know the new employees during training, assisting employees daily, working with her team, and helping candidates find their dream job!
Outside of work, Haley enjoys being outdoors, working out, and traveling whenever she can. She also enjoys spending time with her Golden Retriever, Gracie. Haley is excited to be back as part of CRASH for the second year and cannot wait to meet all the Crashers!
