Maggie Christensen is a Member Service Representative at Sioux Valley Community Credit Union in Sioux City, Iowa. She has worked there for nine months, but has been in the banking industry for four years. “We are like one big family here,” she says. Maggie enjoys the people she works with and the members she serves.
Maggie grew up in a small town in South Dakota. She was active in sports, music and dance. She spent many hours volunteering in the community. Maggie enjoys running, hiking and spending time with family and friends… and of course her little Yorkie, Security.
Sydney Cox is a Member Service Representative at Members Community Credit Union. She graduated from Southeastern Community College in 2017 with an Associate of Arts degree. In August of 2018, Sydney landed her first position in the credit union industry, which has opened a new door to career goals.
A native of Burlington, Sydney moved to the Muscatine area a little over a year ago to pursue her career and be closer to her boyfriend, Patrick. Sydney enjoys shopping trips, kayaking, spending time with friends, and traveling whenever possible. To date, her favorite vacation spot has been Walt Disney World; she has visited the park six times. As this has become a tradition for her, she hopes to change that number of visits to seven in the coming year.
Helen Dao is a Member Service Representative at Greater Iowa Credit Union. Helen enjoys impacting her members' lives - whether it’s sharing knowledge or helping her members financially. She graduated from East High School and then attended DMACC in 2013. She started working at Greater Iowa in 2015.
Helen got engaged to her fiancé in November of 2018. They have a Yorkie and a German Shepherd puppy who loves to play. Helen likes to spend her free time shopping or hanging out with family and friends. She loves to explore new cities and eat different types of food. Helen likes to volunteer her time at Monsoon where she got her first job/internship.
Chelsey Doyle is a Member Service Specialist at Fort Dodge Family Credit Union. She started her journey three years ago as a Member Service Representative. Being a part of a small credit union has allowed her to assist with various jobs within the different departments. Part of her specialist position is assisting the loan department on insurance, titles and auditing new loan files. She focuses on personal and professional growth within her career.
Chelsey recently bought her own acreage in the summer of 2019. She has two Australian Shepherds, Dixie and Gracie, who keep her on her toes. Chelsey spent her childhood on a farm with a family who was involved in rodeo. In her spare time, she enjoys barrel racing. She also enjoys working horses, camping and the outdoors.
Kody Fisher is a Sr. Member Service Representative at Journey Credit Union located in Des Moines. Shortly after graduating Bondurant-Farrar High School, she started working full-time as a MSR/Teller. Within the last 3 years, she has risen to Sr. MSR with leadership expectations and increased job responsibilities.
Kody loves to go on adventures with her boyfriend, Cody, and their spunky Blue Merle Australian Shepherd, Bubba. Kody loves to play video games, go boating, and play sports during her free time. She likes playing slow pitch and coaching soccer during the summer. In August, they have a big vacation planned to go to Chicago and explore Iowa's surrounding states.
Ashley Gipe is a Loan Officer at Advantage Credit Union. She graduated from AIB College of Business with her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2016. At Advantage Credit Union, she has been a part-time and full-time teller, and she is now a loan officer.
Ashley recently bought her first house in 2018. She has an extremely gentle and kind loving golden retriever who enjoys lounging around watching Netflix. Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandparents and two nephews and niece. The local Peanut Pub is where you may find her drinking a bloody mary and socializing with friends.
Jordyn Henry is a Branch Manager at Financial Plus Credit Union. She originally attended college for nursing. In 2012, she took her first job in the financial industry. In 2013, she moved to Des Moines, Iowa where she took her first job at a credit union.
Jordyn recently got married to her husband, Austin, in the fall of 2018. They have a 1-year old daughter who keeps them busy and on their toes. Jordyn loves football. Go Chiefs! She likes spending time with family, trips to Lake of the Ozarks, and their annual destination trip with close friends.
Connor Hilsenbeck is a Business Development Specialist at Community Choice Credit Union. He recently graduated from Iowa State University in 2019 with a Business Marketing bachelor’s degree.
Connor recently moved back to Ankeny where he is close to family and friends. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and tasting different wines. During the baseball season, you can find Connor working at Prairie Ridge Sports Complex where he manages the concession stands. When he is not in the office or grilling hot dogs at the ballpark, he is probably riding his bike on one of the many trails in Des Moines.
Miriah Johnson is the Human Resource Assistant at Citizens Community Credit Union. She offers support to the Human Resource Department doing employee maintenance, payroll, benefits, recruiting and onboarding new employees. Miriah started her career with Citizens in 2008 as a Branch Member Service Representative and also spent time as a Loan Clerk.
Miriah and her husband, Jerrad, will be celebrating their eleventh wedding anniversary this year. They stay very busy with their two children, Landon and Carley.
Olivia Logsdon is a Member Service Representative at River Valley Credit Union in Ames. She started college in high school and upon graduation she attended Des Moines Area Community College to finish her associates in Criminal Justice with a focus in Law Enforcement, graduating in 2017. She’s new to the credit union world and is eager to find out what careers there are to offer!
Olivia lives in a tiny home with her high school sweetheart Ben and their 5-year-old pit-lab mix Thunderdome. Olivia enjoys binge watching Netflix & Hulu, gaming, online shopping, and hanging out next to the bonfire with a glass of wine and some good company.
Wionnia Mausser is an Accounting Specialist at DuTrac Community Credit Union. She received her Associates in Accounting in 2013. She began working as a part-time teller with Dutrac in 2016 and was promoted to Accounting Specialist in 2018.
Wionnia and her husband, Noah, have two children who keep them busy. Wionnia loves spending time with her family while shooting bows, supporting her son and husband who play baseball, and enjoying time outside.
Kelsay McCausland is the Marketing Coordinator at 1st Gateway Credit Union. She graduated from Ashford University with bachelor’s degrees in Public Relations and Marketing and Computer Graphic Design in 2011. In 2014, she obtained a Master’s in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis from Ashford University.
Outside of work, Kelsay enjoys playing and coaching volleyball. She is currently in her second season as a coach with the Quad Cities-based club, Iowa Select, where she is the head coach for the 17U Mizuno team. Kelsay enjoys spending time with her family, chasing around her niece and nephew, traveling and watching any kind of live music.
Taylor Morris is a Member Service Consultant at Collins Community Credit Union. She graduated from Drake University in 2016 with a degree in politics. Taylor got her start in the credit union industry in 2016 at the IAA Credit Union in her hometown of Bloomington, IL. She enjoys helping members work towards their financial goals and learning about how much financial services impact people’s lives.
Taylor moved to the Des Moines area in 2018. In her free time, Taylor enjoys walking on the many trails in the area and cooking and baking for her friends. She also volunteers with Save the Children Action Network, advocating for the needs of kids.
Amber Pearson is a Member Service Representative at North Star Community Credit Union, where she has worked for two years. Amber has previous experience with money handling and customer service from working at Hy-Vee for three years. She enjoys getting to know and helping members with their financial goals. Whether it's opening accounts, helping balance accounts, or simply listening to their needs, she strives to help the member in becoming more financially successful.
Amber was recently married in 2018. She and her husband have a young, beautiful daughter together. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, family/friend BBQ's, floating down the Little Sioux River, and spontaneous picnic trips.
Haley Resewehr is a Human Resources Assistant at Ascentra Credit Union. She graduated from St. Ambrose University with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Management in 2014. Haley started at Ascentra as a Human Resources Intern in 2017 while still attending school. Once she graduated, she accepted a full-time position within the credit union.
Haley likes volunteering at various organizations in her free time, working out at the local gym, and being outside as much as possible. She also enjoys running outside, traveling, and attending concerts with friends.
Alysia Simmons is a Trainer at Community 1st Credit Union in Ottumwa, IA. Some of Alysia’s main roles at C1st are facilitating new hire classes, MSR classes, and continuing education classes. Alysia is a part of Young Connection, a group that gives young professionals the opportunity to expand their professional skills to become future credit union leaders. Alysia has been with Community 1st for over two years and both inside and out of her credit union she lives the “people helping people” philosophy.
Alysia is very outgoing and enjoys meeting new people. She loves being outdoors with her 4-year-old son, Mason. In her free time Alysia volunteers at Davis St. Church and the Heartland Humane Society.
Chelsea Steele is a Branch Manager at Premier Credit Union. She graduated from Metropolitan Community College with a Criminal Justice Degree in 2006. She left her restaurant management career in 2012 to follow the financial path when she moved to Ankeny in 2012.
Chelsea is originally from Elkhorn, NE. In 2015, she married her husband Brian. They have a Doberman named Riddick. He keeps them very busy by playing them against each other to get his way, and he enjoys a lot of outdoor activities. Chelsea likes to camp, ride bikes, and spend time with friends and family.
Crystal Trotter is a Community Outreach and Education Representative at Dupaco Community Credit Union. This allows her to connect with individuals at their workplace to improve their financial position through educational presentations and one-on-one financial counseling. She is doing her part to serve over 2,000 different companies and organizations that the Community Outreach and Education team support. Crystal graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a minor in Psychology from Loras College.
Crystal and her husband, Derek, recently got married in June of 2019 and live in Cedar Rapids. Together they have begun the adventure of making a baseball game at each MLB stadium. Crystal loves to read, exercise and travel whenever she can, and she enjoys spending time with her nephew and family in Northeast Iowa.
Maggie Wunschel is a Loan Officer at First Class Community Credit Union. She has been there for over a year. Prior to working at First Class Community Credit Union, Maggie worked at North Star Community Credit Union for 5 years. She was a Part-Time and Full-Time Teller, a Loan Clerk, and a Loan Officer. Maggie is currently enrolled in online classes at the University of Iowa to obtain a bachelor’s degree in organizational studies and justice and ethics.
Maggie, her husband, and their two children moved a little over a year ago to Waukee from a very small town of about 300 people. She and her husband, Larry, have been married for almost 6 years, and they have an 8-year-old son, Kaison, and a 4-year-old daughter, Kailyn. They also have a Great Dane, Harley. Maggie loves camping with her family and taking her kids on new adventures. When she is not busy with work and being a mother of two, she enjoys reading and binge watching her favorite shows on Netflix.

Adam Lenze is a Branch Manager at Premier Credit Union. After graduating college in 2010, he started working at Premier as a MSR/CSR. Adam has been able to learn many things from the ground up, and believes it gives him a unique perspective. Adam works hard to not only provide good service but a great experience for members - whether it's a $5 cash withdrawal or a $500,000 home purchase! He’s very thankful for the opportunities that Premier has afforded him, and he looks forward to not only his, but their, continued success as they continue to grow!
Adam is excited to be back as part of CRASH for the 2nd year and can’t wait to meet all the Crashers!

Julia Michalec is a Member Service Representative at Metco Credit Union with a focus in new accounts and lending. She has worked at Metco for over two years and has been in the financial industry for four years. Julia enjoys working with members, helping them work toward financial success and guiding them along the way to reach their dreams. Julia is in her second year as Secretary of the Cedar Valley Chapter of Credit Unions.
Outside of work, Julia enjoys running and participating in races in the area with her boyfriend, Dustin. They enjoy traveling, cheering on the Hawkeyes, and spending time with their 3 cats: Marcel, Pete, and Stanley. Julia likes to spend time outdoors and with family. Her guilty pleasure is watching the Bachelor/Bachelorette.
